Meet Dr Coombe, our Specialist Orthodontist
Dr Coombe is Invisalign® accredited and a certified Specialist Orthodontist and is proud to have been recognised as a Bronze provider by Invisalign® themselves.
Dr Coombe’s education and accomplishments
Dr Coombe started her career in 1993, graduating from the University of Otago, New Zealand with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
Dr Coombe then spent the subsequent two year tenure as Napier Hospital’s Oral and Maxillo-facial and Dental House Surgeon, further developing her significant skills.
After passing all exams for admission to the Royal Australian College of Dental Surgeons, Dr Coombe moved to Sydney, Australia. There she further honed her general dentistry and orthodontics skills for a year.
Dr Coombe then graduated first in her year at the University of Sydney’s Master of Dental Science degree (3 year course).
Dr Coombe’s Awards:
- Awarded several academic and clinical prizes whilst at the University of Otago, including an international award for excellence
- Best treated patient case presentation” by the Australian Society of Orthodontists
- Best New Zealand Hospital Junior Presentation” prize at Napier Hospital

When she is not working, Dr Coombe spends her time with her two young children as well as enjoying a variety of adventurous hobbies, including gardening, snow skiing and scuba diving. She also loves photography and travel.
Dr Cathy Wang
Orthodontist
BDSc(Hons) DClinDent(Ortho) AOB Cert
Cathy graduated from her Bachelor of Dental Science degree from the University of Melbourne in 2009. She subsequently returned to Sydney and spent the next 10 years working as a dentist in both the private and public sectors. Cathy was a Senior Dental Officer and University Coordinator at Nepean Hospital where she mentored new graduate dentists and was clinical tutor for final year dental students from both the University of Sydney and Charles Sturt University.
Cathy then underwent 3 years of postgraduate orthodontic training from the University of Sydney, where she graduated and received the award of best treated patient from the Australian Society of Orthodontists and also obtained her Australasian Orthodontic Board certificate.
In her spare time, Cathy enjoys cooking, traveling, spending time with her family and taking her cavoodle pup Charlie for walks.
Dr Natalie Dumer
Dentist
BDS (Sydney)
Natalie graduated from her Bachelor of Dental Surgery Degree from Sydney University in 1994. She has been working in private Orthodontic practice since 1995 and following her passion of creating beautiful smiles.
Working at My smile which later was renamed to One Smile for 26 of those years. She has worked closely with all types of braces systems and clear aligners and is experienced with both adult and childhood orthodontics.
Dr Coombe and Dr Dumer have known each other for over 20 years, including working together in private Orthodontic practice, and enjoy a close working relationship.
